Business Development Engineer

Technical Expertise
- Possess a strong background in engineering or a related technical field to understand NSW’s products, services, and technologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Business Acumen
- Understand NSW’s business model, objectives, and market dynamics to identify areas for growth and development.
- Collaborate with the business development team to align technical capabilities with market needs and customer requirements.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to the development of strategic plans for business development initiatives, aligning technical capabilities with organizational goals.
- Provide insights into how technology can be strategically leveraged to drive business growth.
Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential areas for business expansion and growth.
- Evaluate the feasibility of new products or services, considering technical requirements, market demand, and financial implications.
- Assess the competitive landscape and advise on strategic positioning based on technical strengths, analyse technical aspects of the market and assess the feasibility of introducing new products, features or services.
Feasibility Studies & Risk Assessment
- Conduct deep feasibility studies for new projects or businesses, considering technical, financial, and operational aspects.
- Assess the technical viability and potential challenges associated with new business initiatives, evaluate potential technical risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to lead business decisions
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in roles such as engineering, product management, or business development is often required.
- High familiarity with industrial equipment or relevant technologies, including mechanical & hardware engineering, software development, IT infrastructure, or other relevant technical areas.
