Senior Solutions Engineer
Department: Applications & Solutions
Project Location(s): HQ Penang, Malaysia

Technical Consultation & Solution Development
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for automation, dispensing, and system integration solutions.
- Engage with customers to understand application requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, proof-of-concept (PoC) testing, pilot projects, and solution validations.
- Support solution deployment, scale-up activities, and continuous process optimization.
Solution Design & Implementation
- Collaborate with Business Development, Product, and Engineering teams to develop customer-specific solutions.
- Define process parameters, system configurations, and integration requirements.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), customer evaluations, and technical validations.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, reliable, and aligned with customer objectives.
Technical Knowledge & Training
- Develop technical documentation, application guides, SOPs, troubleshooting manuals, and best practices.
- Conduct technical training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions for customers and internal teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical capability development across the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Quality teams to support customer projects and strategic initiatives.
- Provide technical input for product improvements, solution enhancements, and new technology developments.
- Support technical discussions, proposals, and customer presentations.
Continuous Improvement
- Monitor solution performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments.
- Contribute technical insights that support innovation and business growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Process Engineering, Applied Physics, or related disciplines.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Process Improvement methodologies are an added advantage.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Advanced R&D, Automation, or related technical fields.
- Strong knowledge of automation systems, robotics, fluid dispensing technologies, or manufacturing processes.
- Experience in customer-facing technical consultation and solution development.
- Hands-on experience with system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience within semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, automation, or industrial technology environments will be highly advantageous.
